Togo Jungle Challenge & SOS Children’s Villages are working together for the health of children in Togo & Benin.
Thanks to a special fund raising campaign by our partners, Moozes Bikes & Fashion, in 2012 the participants and the organisers collected an impressive amount of 15000€, in 2013 33000€ and in 2014 44000€ for the SOS Children’s Villages of Kara in Togo. Participants were able to buy a Togo Jungle Challenge cycling outfit through Moozes, personalised with their own inscriptions or logos. The yield was placed directly into the bank account of the SOS Children’s Villages. The entire amount was officially donated to the director of SOS Children’s Villages of Benin at the closing ceremony in Grand Popo and all of the donations will be used to fund the vaccination program.
The region of Kara (Togo) has one of the highest infant and maternal mortality rates in the world. The causes are, however, possible to avoid by providing more professional and better organised medical services. With more than 18,000 patients per year, the Mother and Child Hospital of SOS Children’s Villages in Kara saves lives daily. Cycling is healthy, but to be able to do something for the health of many Togolese children, makes it even more special and rewarding for everyone involved. Therefore, Togo Jungle Challenge wants to work together with all participants and raise funds for SOS Children’s Villages in Togo.
What you can do?
With your support we can secure a future for those who are unable to help themselves. Children need our help every day – people in need cannot wait until tomorrow.
Together with our partner Moozes Bikes & Fashion, we have decided to offer each participant 2 personalised Togo Jungle Challenge cycling jerseys in exchange for a minimum amount of 100euro, which, may be raised by a sponsor of your choice if desired. The total amount will be used for the construction of a medical post for SOS Children’s Village of Dapaong. This will provide healthcare and education to impoverished youngsters and mothers.
Additionally we want to lend our full support and encouragement to an initiative by Moozes which we are extremely proud of by giving one contestant the chance to win a fantastic price. The challenger, who collects the most funds per shirt, wins free entry for the 5th edition of Togo Jungle Challenge! (Nov 2016)
